Noijeu Movie Story

follows the story of two sisters, Joo-young and Joo-hee, who successfully purchase their dream apartment to start a new, peaceful life. However, their dream soon turns into a nightmare as they begin to be tormented by strange and mysterious noises emanating from the walls of their apartment. These sounds, initially dismissed as minor disturbances, gradually escalate into a psychological terror that makes Joo-hee increasingly sensitive and paranoid.

The tension reaches its climax when Joo-hee suddenly disappears without a trace. Joo-young, who has a hearing impairment and had moved into a work dormitory, returns to the apartment to search for her sister. In her quest, she is aided by Joo-hee's boyfriend, Ki-hoon. They soon realize that the noises that have been disturbing them are not just ordinary sounds, but clues leading to a dark secret hidden within the apartment building.

"Noijeu" builds its tension through a combination of supernatural horror and psychological thriller. In addition to facing an unseen terror, Joo-young and Ki-hoon must also confront their increasingly hysterical and suspicious neighbors. They are trapped in a labyrinth of mystery and danger, where the line between neighbor and enemy becomes blurred. The film explores themes of paranoia, trauma, and isolation, with exceptional sound design that makes every whisper and knock feel chilling.
