The Planet Of The Apes Movie Story
tells the story of a group of astronauts led by Colonel George Taylor, who travel into deep space and crash-land on an unknown planet in the year 3978. They initially believe the planet to be uninhabited, but soon discover that it is ruled by an intelligent, talking ape civilization, while humans are treated as primitive, non-verbal slaves. After being captured, Taylor and the other astronauts are separated, and Taylor becomes a subject of study for the ape scientist, Zira, and her fiancé, Cornelius, who are skeptical of the ape's evolutionary theories.
Taylor manages to prove his intelligence to Zira and Cornelius, and they begin to sympathize with him, realizing he is unlike other primitive humans. With their help, Taylor escapes in search of answers about the origin of civilization on the planet. During his escape, he is pursued by Dr. Zaius, a conservative ape minister who believes that humans are a threat and must be eradicated. Dr. Zaius knows a dark secret about the planet and works hard to prevent Taylor from discovering it.
In the end, Taylor reaches a forbidden zone feared by the apes. There, he finds shocking artifacts and ruins, including a half-buried Statue of Liberty, revealing a terrifying truth: the planet is Earth in the distant future. The film concludes with Taylor kneeling on the beach, realizing that he did not land on an alien planet but rather returned to his own home after human civilization was destroyed by nuclear war, and the apes had taken over.
