Damsel Movie Story

centers on Elodie (Millie Bobby Brown), a dutiful princess from an impoverished northern kingdom. To save her people from destitution, she agrees to marry Prince Henry (Nick Robinson) of the prosperous Kingdom of Aurea. The marriage appears to be a fairytale that promises prosperity for her family, and initially, Elodie and Prince Henry seem to form a genuine connection. A lavish wedding ceremony is held, bringing new hope for Elodie’s future as a princess.



However, the happiness is a deadly trap. Immediately following the ceremony, during an ancient ritual in the mountains, Prince Henry brutally betrays Elodie. She is thrown into a deep, dark chasm that is revealed to be the lair of a ferocious dragon. Elodie quickly realizes that she is not a bride, but a sacrifice that the Aurea royal family must pay in every generation to settle an ancient "debt" with the dragon. Royalty is offered up to maintain the kingdom's peace.



Trapped in the perilous caves, alone and gripped by fear, Elodie must rely solely on her wits and sheer determination to survive. She discovers the remains of previous victims and begins to unravel the mysteries and secrets behind the dragon and this cruel sacrificial ritual. Elodie rejects her fate as a "damsel in distress" and transforms into a warrior. Her struggle is not just to escape, but to exact vengeance and end the deceptive cycle of sacrifice, which leads her back to confront the wicked queen and the tricked dragon.
