Rabbit Trap Movie Story
The couple's peace and routine are disrupted when they accidentally record a mystical sound never before heard, which in turn ignites Daphne's creative energy. Soon after, a mysterious child—a local youth who refers to themselves as a "rabbit hunter"—intrudes upon their lives. The child possesses an uncanny knowledge of local folklore, particularly concerning the "Tylwyth Teg" or fairy rings, and begins to insert themselves into the couple's daily existence, driving a wedge between them with an ambiguous and unsettling presence.
As the child grows increasingly dominant and disruptive, the line between reality and ancient superstition blurs. The film explores how the supernatural intrusion and the dark Welsh folklore force the couple to confront the buried secrets and emotional challenges within their relationship. "Rabbit Trap" is a gripping and surreal journey, where the sounds they record and the rituals they witness become a psychological trap threatening to alter and destroy their lives forever, ensnared in a web of vague and terrifying folk horror.
