Stand by Me Doraemon 2 Movie Story
Their quest to find the missing adult Nobita takes them through various times and challenges. They discover that the adult Nobita ran away because he felt incapable of keeping his promises and unworthy of being Shizuka's husband, triggered by a distant memory of his grandmother. This search effort reminds the young Nobita of his precious memories with his deeply loving grandmother, who always wished to see him get married. Nobita then decides to take a separate time trip, back to when his grandmother was alive, to introduce Shizuka and reassure his grandmother that he will become a good man.
The film's emotional climax occurs when the young Nobita, with the help of the time machine and Doraemon, finally manages to reunite with his grandmother and give her the reassurance she needed. Meanwhile, the adult Nobita must confront his own fears, and with Doraemon's assistance, he finally returns for his wedding ceremony. The film beautifully concludes Nobita's coming-of-age journey, emphasizing themes such as true love, promises kept, and deep family bonds, while delivering the much-anticipated moment: the marriage of Nobita and Shizuka.
