Troll Factory Movie Story

centers on Im Sang-jin, a passionate investigative reporter whose career is derailed after he publishes a controversial negative report on a major corporate scandal. His article is immediately met with a massive online backlash of malicious comments and orchestrated public opinion manipulation, which ultimately destroys his credibility and leads to his suspension from work. In his despair, Sang-jin receives a startling anonymous tip about the existence of an organized "troll factory" or "comment army" operating online.

Determined to clear his name and expose the truth behind the manipulation that ruined his reputation, Sang-jin begins to investigate the lead, which takes him to a small, highly skilled team known as "Team Alley." This team consists of a few young individuals, including their shrewd leader, Jjingbboekking, who are the masterminds behind the public opinion manipulation operations. The team is not just a collection of random trolls, but a professionally organized entity capable of crafting and spreading convincing fake news, manufacturing public sentiment, and even engineering sophisticated narrative plots to sway online discourse.

As Sang-jin digs deeper, he realizes the case is far larger and darker than mere personal retribution. He begins to question the boundaries between fact and fiction in the digital age, where a lie mixed with the truth feels more real than the pure truth itself. His struggle to expose the "Troll Factory" puts him in jeopardy against a powerful, hidden force far more formidable and dangerous than he initially imagined, leaving both Sang-jin and the audience in perpetual doubt about what truly transpired and who the ultimate puppet master is.
